Seals With Clubs Overview

Image

sealswithclubslogo1Seals with Clubs first launched in August of 2011 in an effort to offer bitcoin poker to players from around the world including the United States.

The site was created by a team of online poker players that were looking for a solution to the events of Black Friday, the day the US Department of Justice took down poker giants Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars.

Seals with Clubs has a number of Pros on their team including Bryan Micon and Justin Schwartz. Micon is the chairman of Seals with Clubs and has be a large piece of the success of the site since its launch. Micon has made 14 final tables in his career with 3 wins, 42 cashes and live tournament earnings of $473,423.

Cash Games

Cash games are the most popular at Seals with Clubs. They offer games in Limit & PL Omaha, Limit & PL Omaha Hi-Lo as well as NL Hold’em. The site averages around 100 players online at any given time of day. You can always find a game of 1/2 NL Hold’em being played.

Tournaments

For a smaller site Seals with Clubs offers a number of great tournaments. The largest is the “Big BTC” which is held every Sunday at 6pm Eastern time. The buy-in is 2 BTC with a guaranteed prize pool of 60 BTC/60,000 seal chips. The prize pool can become even larger with more entries.

Guaranteed & Freerolls

Every hour at middle of each hour they also offer a 400 seal chips guaranteed tournament. The buy-in is 45+5 SC. On the top of each hour there are also turbo freerolls where you can win 50 chips prizes.

Competition

Seals with Clubs has average competition compared to most other sites. There is not a lot of fish out there though. Most of the players at the site have played online poker before and have so knowledge of basic poker strategy. That is not to say that the tables are extremely hard either.

Promotions and Deposit Bonus

The best promotion at Seals with Clubs is there High Hand Bonuses. Few other online poker sites offer a promotion like this. If you make quads or better you win 100 to 1000 chips automatically. To win you need to make sure to show your hand.

Rakeback

They also offer a very nice rakeback deal for loyal players. You can earn from 2% to 50% rakeback depending on the amount of poker you play at Seals with Clubs.

Software

The software at Seals with Clubs is run on Poker Maven by Briggs. The software is a little out dated, but is secure and offers all your normal features.

Seals with Clubs take their software security very seriously stating, “The SealsWithClubs management promises to vigorously defend the integrity of our games, and ask our community of players to always be watchful and report anything you feel needs our attention as soon as possible.”

Graphics

The graphics are not the best out there and look a little out dated, but they have added a number of features to the software like both downloadable, browser and Android versions.

Banking Options

Seals with Clubs runs exclusively on Bitcoin and no other currencies; this makes for very fast and easy depositing and withdrawals.  If you do not currently use Bitcoin you will need to download the software before depositing on Seals with Clubs.

Customer Service

Seals with Clubs support can be reached through email at admin @ sealswithclubs.eu. They are very responsive, all e-mails we have sent have been returned in less than 24 hours. There is also a FAQ that will answer most questions you may have.

As Bitcoin Price Soars, SealswithClubs Reaches New Traffic High

The BTC-only poker room is benefiting from recent virtual currency enthusiasm, with cash game traffic doubling since early September.

Bitcoin-only site SealswithClubs (SwC) has seen its cash game traffic more than double since its seasonal low in early September. The individualistic site offers an online poker room to US players that exclusively uses the Bitcoin virtual currency rather than legal tender.

Bitcoin has had a volatile ride recently. From an exchange rate low of $65 in June, the price of a Bitcoin rocketed to a high of $900 before falling back to a little over $600 today. Players who kept their bankroll in Bitcoin accounts at SwC have enjoyed the ride.

SWC cash game traffic graph (see below) mirrors the Bitcoin price graph, suggesting that the site benefited from sentiment about the currency. The latest boom has come as the US Senate has been holding hearings on potential Bitcoin regulation.

While regulation may be against the initial philosophy of early proponents of the currency, it would legitimize it and potentially create a much greater demand—sending the price up.

The SwC founders prefer to remain anonymous, but Bryan “The Icon” Micon provides a public face as the “Seals Team Pro Chairman.” A desktop client and an Android app are available, and rake at no limit tables is set at a relatively low 2.5% with a cap of the lesser of 3 big blinds or 0.005BTC.
